| Birth: | 1843 | | Death: | 1908 |  Civil War Union Soldier. He was mustered in as a Private in Company D, 1st New Jersey Volunteer Cavalry on August 18, 1861. He would go on to serve the entire length of the war, seeing action in his regiment's engagements in Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. After the conclusion of the conflict, he was honorably discharged at the regimental camp near Cloud's Mills, Virginia on May 31, 1865.
