SGT. First Class Edward Caballero Jr.
age 69 passed away Sat. April 18, 2009 in San Antonio, Tx. He proudly served 20 years in the United States Army with two tours of duty in Vietnam and was awarded numerous awards including the Bronze Star, Two Army Accommodation Medals, The Purple Heart, Vietnamese Honor Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, National Defense Medal, and The Good Conduct Medal with 5 Stars. SFC Caballero is preceded in death by his Father, Edward Caballero, and Sister, Rachel Caballero. Services will be held on April 27, 2009 at Alamo Funeral Home located at 624 N. Alamo. Viewing will begin at 8:00 a.m. with chapel services to begin at approximately 10:30 a.m. with graveside services to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at approximately 11:45 a.m. PLEASE DO NOT FORWARD FLOWERS OR OTHER FORMS OF SYMPATHY GIFTS. The family requests that in lieu of such considerations that donations be made to the San Antonio Humane Society, San Antonio Animal Defense League, or any San Antonio V.F.W. Post.
