She was once married to T.B Clayton and they married on October 3, 1924. They were the Parents of one Biological Daughter; Barbara Clayton Ringelstein, and one Adoptive Daughter; Carole Clayton Daugherty. In the year of 1925 Mamye became pregnant but sadly the Infant was born too early and was stillborn. The Infant is buried at the Mount Lebanon Cemetery. She and T.B later divorced.
She was a member of the County Line Church Of Christ. In the later years of her life she was a Private Sitter.
She was the Grandmother to four Grandchildren; Pamela, Jeffrey, Rodney, and Kent. She was also the Great Grandmother to six Grandchildren.
She passed away on June 18, 1999 at the age of 95 years old at the Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee.
Her funeral service was conducted on July 20, 1999 at The North Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, and Ronnie Gobbell officiated the service in the Chapel. Burial followed the service at the Crews Cemetery.
