Abigail married Stephen Joseph Abbott 11 Dec 1825 in Hornell, Steuben, New York. Abigail & Stephen Abbott were the parents of Emily, Charilla, Phebe Abigail, Lydia Lucina, Abiel, Myron, Cynthia, & Abigail. Stephen Joseph Abbott, died on the east side of the Mississippi River.

Abigail Smith Abbott married Capt. James Brown to assist her travel west across the plains. Abigail lived with her daughter Abigail Abbott Zundel in Willard, Utah, where she died.
