Frontier peace officer. Glispin was the second term sheriff of Watonwan County, Minnesota in 1876. He led the posse that captured the Younger Brothers and killed Charlie Pitts near Madelia following the disastrous attempt by the James-Younger gang to rob the bank in Northfield, Minnesota on 7 Sep 1876. Glispin later served as city marshal of Spokane, Washington in 1885, held a commission as deputy U.S. marshal and was elected sheriff of Spokane County, serving until 1888.
