Mamie Mary Daigle, age 90, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, in a local hospital.
She was born in Homer, La., on Jan. 7, 1911, to Oscar and Mamie Trahan, and had been living in this area since 1985, coming from New Orleans. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Daigle was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a good friend to many people. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She and her husband, Camille, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary last year on Sept. 6, 2000.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Raymond J. Daigle and Lenard P. Daigle. She is survived by her husband, Camille J. Daigle of Fort Walton Beach; daughter-in-law, Susan Daigle of Fort Walton Beach; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a Catholic rosary to be held at 7:30 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Beal Memorial Cemetery.
McLaughlin Mortuary is entrusted with arrangements.
