Manuel Basca Cacal of Kaumakani died Sept. 29, 2007, at his home, at the age of 57.
Born Nov. 9, 1940, in the Philippines, he was a truck driver for Gay Robinson.
He is survived by his wife Filipina Cacal; daughters Juvy Tangonan, Myrna Cacal and Eden Cacal; sister Vicenta (Ernesto) Martinez; brothers Virgil (Fely) Cacal and Conrad (Salome) Cacal; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son Arnel Cacal.
Family and friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa and again from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at St. Theresa's Church in Kekaha where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
