Services for Perry "Sonny" Reeves were held at 2 p.m. February 27, 1987 from Webb-Newton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Smith and Rev. Barry Dickerson officiating. Burial was in the Decatur Cemetery.
Mr. Reeves, 58, Newton, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson. He was a native of Decatur and a member of the Decatur United Methodist Church. He was retired from the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Reeves, Newton; his mother, Gladys Reeves, Decatur; four sisters, Helen Rose, Patsy Harber, both of Decatur; Kathryn Walters, Newton; Bobbie Crawford, Killeen, Texas; and a brother, Larry Reeves, Stone Mountain, Ga. Included are several nieces and nephews.
