Bennett May was the son of Joshua May and Abigail Wright. He married Nancy Gibson on April 3, 1810 in Mercer County, KY.


They were the parents of:

►1) Hugh May born 1811 in Mercer Co, KY. He married Malinda May on 3 June 1835 in Owen Co, KY.

►2) Josiah May born 1812 in Lincoln Co, KY. He married Sarah Ann "Sallie Branham on 22 March 1839 in Owen Co, KY.

►3) William Bennett May born 1816 in KY. He married Elizabeth Willis on 29 May 1845 in Owen Co, KY.

►4) Thomas B. May born 1818 in Owen Co, KY. He married Hester Ann Renfro on 19 May 1834 in Owen Co, KY.

►5) Nancy May born 1820 in KY. She married John May on 16 August 1837 in Owen Co, KY.

►6) Zerelda May born 1822 in Owen Co, KY. She married #1-James A. May on 8 August 1845 in Owen Co, KY. She married #2-John Matthews on 27 February 1867 in Owen Co, KY

Beginning at 2 sugar and beech trees, the north corner to WILLIAMS, thence N 20 W 102 to the middle of Little Twin creek, passing 2 beeches and an ironwood on the bank, thence down the creek, N 62 W 8 poles, N 52 W 12 poles, N 60 W 12 poles, S 85 W 16 poles, N 60 W 22 poles, N 70 W 16 poles, S 47 W 21 poles, S 25 W 16 poles, thence up the Twins hill S 40 E 170 poles to 2 beeches in WILLIAM MAY'S line passing a black oak, sugar and ironwood marked as a corner on the banck of the creek, thence N 5 E 70 poles to the beginning.
