Mary Magdalene Romberger was the eldest daughter of Ralph Emerson Romberger and his wife Jane M. "Jennie" Osman Romberger. Her name was likely chosen not just for its Biblical qualities, as Mary was her father's mother's name, while Magdalena had been her father's mother's sister, that is, his aunt. Also, her mother's mother was Mary M. Ossman.
Mary was sister to Regina Salome Romberger and Rebecca Estella Romberger. Her family was active at Norristown's Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Trinity, which is pictured to the right.
While never marrying, Mary would be family oriented, and took care of her mother Jane, after Jane's husband (Mary's father) Ralph passed away in 1935. Mary worked at a number of clerical positions in Norristown over many years, and as she aged, was looked after by her sisters before sadly succumbing to a form of age-related dementia.
