John Thomas Baker was born in on 4 Jan 1949 in Ventura, Ca. He was 1 of 7 children born to parents, Claude Dallas Baker Jr. and Clara Ruth Cunningham Baker. John resided in Marysville, Ca when he joined the Army's D Co., 3rd Inf., 4th Battalion and served in Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam). On 13 Oct 1969, while defending his country, Corporal John Thomas Baker was tragically killed outright by hostile artillery/rocket in Quang Ngai. His body was recovered and he is laid to rest next to his brother, Claude Dallas Baker Jr., and near his beloved parents, Claude Dallas and Clara Ruth Cunningham Baker. He is gone, but not forgotten.
