Everett Buttercase was born the son of Robert J. Buttercase and Bessie Coslett Buttercase. He had one brother Ralph Buttercase. He married Irene Inman on March 22, 1930 in Rockport, Mo. They had one child Margaret Buttercase who was disabled, and he and Irene devoted their lives to raising and taking care of her. She survived both of them, but has since passed away.
Everett spent his childhood years in Riverton. When he was 11 the family moved to a farm near Randolph. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1924 and then attended an extension college in Shenandoah from which he earned a teacher's certificate.
After their marriage they moved to the Randolph area, where he spent the rest of his life.
He was a member of the Riverton Christian Church and was also associated with the Randolph United Methodist Church.
Mr. Buttercase enter the University of Nebraska Medical Center in January of 1993, where he had open heart surgery from which he never recovered. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ralph.
He was survived by his wife Irene and daughter Margaret, one neice, 2 nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Uncle Everett was always glad for great nephews and their families to come and visit. He was a very happy person and love to farm and hunt. He would always show you his latest trophy and his guns.
