Ole was born in 1832 in Norway, and came to the United States in the spring of 1861. He died June 26, 1897, at Tracy, Lyon Co., Minn., and his remains were returned to Prairie Farm, and buried there in the Solum Cemetery. The Christopherson/Dahl headstone in the Solum Cemetery is inscribed “Ole Christopherson 1832 - 1897 Martha His Wife 1835 - 1899.” On Feb. 19, 1866, Ole was united in marriage to Johanna Martha Jacobson at Preston, Fillmore Co., Minn. Johanna was born in 1835, in Norway, daughter of parents also born in that country. She died Sep. 12, 1899, at Prairie Farm and was buried there next to the remains of her husband in the Solum Norwegian Lutheran Church Cemetery. Their children, of whom the first three were born in Minn. and the rest in Wis., were: Josephine, b. 1867; Christine Marie, b. 1869, died 1893; Carl, b. 1871; Anna Sophia, b. 22 Jun 1873, died 17 Aug 1942; Thea, b. 1875; & Clara, b. Apr 1880. The Christopherson/Dahl headstone in the Solum Cemetery is inscribed “Ole Christopherson 1832 - 1897 Martha His Wife 1835 - 1899.” Christine Marie married John O. Dahl on Jan. 13, 1893, in Prairie Farm.
