Winifred A. "Sally" Burbee, 64, a former resident of Bowie, died Dec. 8 at her home in Davidsonville after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Burbee was born in Cambridge, Mass., and raised in New Hampshire where she graduated from Spaulding High School in Rochester. She received bachelor's and master's degrees in the field of education from the University of New Hampshire at Durham, where she also taught.
After her marriage in 1954, she and her family lived in Shoreview, Minn., and Durham, N.H., and at several Air Force bases in this country and Europe during her husband's military career.
Mrs. Burbee worked in the development and implementation of the audio-visual nursing education program for Telstar Corp. of St. Paul, Minn., and the developing patient education program for Robert Brady Co. of Bowie. She was last employed by O'Conor, Piper and Flynn as a real estate agent.
She was involved in many environmental and nature preservation programs. Her favorite hobby was bird watching.
