"Ralph Edward Bowman, Jr., 46, of Shepherdstown, W.Va., died Monday, November 20, 1972, in Charles Town Hospital, Charles Town, W.Va., following a heart attack.
He was the husband of Jacqueline Walton Bowman, formerly of Waynesburg, and attended Waynesburg College. Mr. Bowman was a supervisor for American Telephone and Telegraph at Shepherdstown.
A son of Mrs. Mary Sharp Bowman, of Steubenville, Ohio, and the late Ralph E. Bowman, he was born October 10, 1926 at Steubenville.
Mr. Bowman was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church at Shepherdstown, and was an active Mason, being a past master of the Blue Lodge at Shepherdstown and a member of the York and Scottish Rites and Shrine. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving in addition to his mother and wife, are four daughters: Mrs. John Shultz, of Charles Town, W.Va., Mrs. Eugene Healey, of Shepherdstown, Mrs. David Hill, of Kailua, Hawaii, and Susanne Bowman, at home; four sons: Ralph E. Bowman, Jr., of San Diego, Calif., and Wayne M., Daniel W., and John A. Bowman, all at home; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Walter Beale, of Madison, Ind., and a brother, James S. Bowman, of Vienna, Va.
Funeral services were held Friday with burial in Greene Mount Cemetery."
