Contributed by Brenda - William Bunney 90, Storm Lake STORM LAKE — William F. Bunney, 90, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, in the Buena Vista County Hospital in Storm Lake following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Friday, at 2 p.m. from the Boothby Funeral Home. The Rev. Leonard Rowse will officiate. Burial will be in the Quimby Cemetery. There will be a family prayer service at 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday.
He had lived in Storm Lake the past 25 years and prior to this was a long time resident of Cherokee County. He was born June 5, 1898, at Larrabee. He was married to Mabel Stevenson on Jan. 20, 1940, in Cherokee and she died July 4, 1956. He had worked as a farm hand around Cherokee County for many years and had worked at various cafes in Storm Lake.
He is survived by two stepsons: Allen Stevenson, Cherokee, and Harold Stevenson, Spencer; one step-daughter, Mrs. James (Shirley) Morton, Boise, Idaho; nine step grandchildren, several step great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Beulah Bunney, Cherokee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one step-daughter, three brothers and three sisters.
