Beulah Mae Davis, 82, was born July 24, 1926 in Cartersville, Haskell County, to Elsie (Decker) Phillips and Walter Lee "Blackie" Phillips and passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Hobart Living Center.

Her family moved to Southwest Oklahoma where she grew up in the Cold Springs area, attending school in Roosevelt. She taught school at Soldier's Spring in the early 1940's.

She married Alvin Davis Feb. 4, 1945. They raised their family in the Lone Wolf community and partly in Southern California where they lived for several years. Mrs. Davis worked a number of years at Quartz Mountain Lodge and Altus Air Force Base as an accountant, retiring in 1992. In addition, she worked at the Lone Wolf and Granite Senior Citizens Centers. She enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1963; and a daughter, Janice Davis, in 1991.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her sons, Paul Davis and wife Linda of Coweta, and Gary Davis and wife Stephanie of Lone Wolf; a daughter, Linda Davis of Oklahoma City; her brothers, Vernon Phillips and wife Brenda of Blair, and Larry Phillips and wife Sandra of Roosevelt; a sister, Wilma Blevins of Blair; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., at People's Funeral Chapel in Lone Wolf, with the Rev Jim Hilton, Pastor of Lone Wolf United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Hobart Rose Cemetery under the direction of People's Co-operative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at People's Co-operative Funeral Home in Lone Wolf.
