WELLS, Paulina - Mrs. Paulina Wells died at the home of her son, J.W. Wells, in Rogers on March 13th at the age of 96 years. Mrs. Wells was born in Cobarris county, North Carolina Jan. 10, 1833 and when seven years old moved with her family to Russellville in November 1851, Mr. Wells died in Russellville June 8, 1877 and after his death Mrs. Wells moved with her son, M.W. Wells, to Benton county where she had lived until the time of her death. She joined the Methodist Episcopal Church, South in early life and had lived a Christian life until the end came. She is survived by one son, J.W. Wells of Rogers. Funeral services were held in Bentonville Friday, March 15 at 3 o'clock at the Methodist church in charge of Rev. R.S. Hayden of Bentonville and Rev. W.O. Hardy of Rogers. Interment was made in the city cemetery at Bentonville. [Rogers Democrat - Rogers, Benton County, Arkansas - March 21, 1929]

WELLS, Plina - Mrs. Plina Wells, formerly of Bentonville, who died at the home of her son, J.W. Wells, at Rogers March 13th, was interred in the City cemetery following services held Friday at the M.E. Church, South. Rev. J.A. Womack of Rogers and Rev. R.S. Hayden of Bentonville officiated. Mrs. Plina Wells passed away this morning at 10:20 at the home of her son, J.W. Wells, 302 North Second street, after a few days illness at the age of 96 years. Mrs. Wells has made her home with her son for many years while he lived in Russellville, Bentonville and Rogers. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at the M.E. Church, South in Bentonville, conducted by Rev. J.A. Womack of Rogers, with interment in the Bentonville cemetery in charge of A.D. Callison Undertaking Co.
