Obituary of Minnie Gullickson
Minnie Erickson was born May 19, 1886 in Sundal township, Norman County to Peter and Anna Erickson. She was baptized and confirmed in the St. John's Lutheran Church.
She was united in marriage to Gullick Gullickson April 6, 1907. They were the parents of 10 children.
Mrs. Gullickson had been in failing health the past several years and passed away at her home on February 10, 1968.
She is survived by four sons and five daughters. Mrs. Henry Lee of Gary, Gilbert, Melvin and Albin of Fertile. Mrs. Norris Jacobson of Adams, North Dakota, Mrs,. Raymond Jacobson, Mrs. Milo Urness, Mrs. Morris Larson of Fertile, and Carol of Philadelphia, Pa, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and a brother Edward Erickson of Bemidji.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1944, and a son George in 1952, and by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
She was a member of the Norman Lutheran Church and of the ALCW.
Funeral services were held at the Norman Lutheran Church on February 14, 1968, with Pastor Milo Mathison officiating. Mrs. Norman Christianson was organist and special music by Rev. and Mrs. Mathison.
Pallbearers were Henry Grunhovd, Joseph Bak, Carl Jacobson, Arthur Kyllander, Norman Christianson and Walter Helgeson.
The funeral arrangements were by the C. L. Youngquist Funeral Home.
Mrs. Minnie Gullickson passed away at her home Saturday afternoon at about 4 o'clock. She had been ill for some time although she had been up and around nearly every day. She passed away quietly in her sleep. She was 84 years old at the time of her death. Funeral services were held Wednesday (today) at the Norman Church with Rev. Milo Mathison officiating. Mrs. Gullickson is survived by 4 sons, Gilbert, Melvin and Albin at home and Carol in Philadelphia, Penn. and 5 daughters who are Martha, Mrs. Henry Lee, Selma, Mrs. Norris Jacobson of Adams, North Dakota, Elsie, Mrs. Ray Jacobson, Lorraine, Mrs. Morris Larson and Blanche, Mrs. Milo Urness all of Fertile and one brother Ed Erickson of Bemidji.
Maynard Jackson of Michigan and Norman Jacobson of Seattle arrived by plane to Fargo on Monday and on to Fertile to the Ray Jacobson home. They came to attend the funeral services for their grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Gullickson. Ed Erickson of Bemidji to the Albin Gullickson home on Sunday. He came to attend the funeral of his sister, Mrs. Minnie Gullickson and Carol Gullickson arrived here for the funeral service also.
