Nadine Newbill Jenner, 89, a North Shore benefactor and the widow of attorney Albert E. Jenner, Jr., died July 19 in the Presbyterian Home in Evanston.
Formerly of Kenilworth, she was born in Portland, Ore. , but grew up in LaGrange. A graduate of Lyons Township High School, she briefly attended Rockford College before getting a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Illinois.
She later attended the Art Institute of Chicago and the Fine Arts Academy; and had a career in advertising and public relations before marrying in 1932. She then became very active in volunteer work, with much of her philanthropy centering around the Daughters of the American Revolution - her mother organized the LaGrange chapter.
Mrs. Jenner also held posts in Alpha Delta Pi sorority, sat on the University of Illinois alumni board, was a member and volunteer for the Evanston Hospital Auxiliary, and served as national public relations director for the American Committee of Maternal Welfare.
Mrs. Jenner is survived by her daughter, Cynthia and a brother, Thomas Newbill.
Graveside services were held in Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie.
