The Western Star, September 26, 1929.
Estel Ray, a son of W. J. Ray of Wilmore, was buried in the Wilmore cemetery last Sunday afternoon, following funeral services which were held from the M. E. church in that city.
His home for some time had been Wichita, but he was temporarily staying in Hazelton, Barber-co., where he had charge of a cream station since last May. On last Saturday his dead body was found in the building, and it was apparent that he had been dead for two or three days. The cause of his death is not known. He was nearly 47 years old.
Mr. Ray was a full brother of Emery, Charley, Arthur, Willie, Paul and Silas Ray, and of Mrs. Mary Wilmore and Mrs. Clarence Eaton, and a half brother of Walter C. Ray. His mother died 16 years ago.
The sorrowing relatives have the sincere sympathy of all. The wife and four children survive.
