Inscription reads - "Those who knew her best, loved her most"
Louisa F. Boyd was born in Tennessee on 16 August 1842, the daughter of Robert Boyd and Mary "Polly" Vowell. The family had moved to Carrollton in Carroll County, Arkansas, about 1848. Both Robert Boyd and Mary Boyd appear to have died sometime between 1860 and 1870.
Louisa F. Boyd married Roland Boyd, his second marriage, on 5 November 1874 in Boone County, Arkansas. She was the mother of four children. They were Olive, Ida Louise, Cora and Roland Boyd. Her husband died in 1898. She was said to have raised the daughter of her husband's son, Oda Mahala Boyd, (called Hala) after the death of William Riley Boyd's wife, Martha Mahala Rae in 1893.
