VIDALIA -- Ray Morris, 89, died Oct. 25 at Bethany Nursing Center.
He was a native of Montgomery County and a resident of Florida some 40 years. He moved to Vidalia in 1991. He was a retired general foreman in residential and commercial construction. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of Perrine Peters Methodist Church in Perrine, Fla., and a member of the Milliken Creek Masonic Lodge.
SURVIVORS: a son, David R. Morris of Dix Hill, N.Y.; a brother, Ernest Morris of Uvalda; and four sisters, Austine Downie and Betty Wheeler, both of Vidalia, Wilma Ussery of Macon and Sara Outler of Alston.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Thursday at Ronnie L. Stewart & Son Funeral Service, burial in Sharpe Cemetery in Ailey. -Savannah Now, Sept 1999
