William L. "Bill" Webb, 68, of Tifton died Sunday, October 5, 2008, at his residence. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 9, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Webb was born on March 25, 1940 in Adel and was the son of Lester Stone of Lenox and the late Lucille Stone. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie Hayes Webb; one brother and one sister. He was a retired mechanic and of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and had lived in Tifton for 43 years.
Mr. Webb is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Harlan and Cindy Lovett, Harlo and Tammy Lovett, Mike and Shauna Webb all of Tifton; five brothers, 11 grandchildren: Shelly Luke, Jennifer Lovett, Cal Lobett, Kaycee Lovett, Sierra Lovett, Chandler Lovett, Josh Lovett, Jordan Lovett, Haylee Lovett, Keenan Webb and Kenslee Ann Webb; six great grandchildren: Allie Marchant, Alyssa Marchant, Andrew Luke, Tucker Lovett, Madison Lovett and Kyle Lovett and personal friends: Rusty Garren, Russell & Margie Garren, Bobbie Jean Garren, Mike & Rhonda Sumner, Henry & Brenda Bearden and Lowell and Ula Mae Creamer.
