He was the husband of Milda-Marija (Krumins) Blanks. Born and raised in Latvia, he was a son of Janis and Julliana (Eks) Blanks. He had made his home in Woburn for more than thirty-four years.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He worked for many years as a Facilities Engineer for Mitre Corporation in Bedford until his retirement in 1989.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Janis Blanks of England. Surviving in addition to his wife are a nephew, Glyn Blanks and his wife Rosemary of N. Andover. He was also the grand-uncle of Adam, Nicholas, and Ashley Blanks.
