Funeral services for Myra Dean Bridges, 79, of Cadiz, were conducted on Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at 2 p.m., at King's Funeral Home in Cadiz.
The Rev. Paul Cannon, assisted by Rev. Irvin Darnall, officiated at the services. Burial followed in the East End Cemetery, in Cadiz.
Mrs. Bridges died on Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at 7 p.m., at Trigg County Hospital, of natural causes.
Mrs. Bridges was born on Dec. 25, 1924, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late John and Lucy Lawrence Sumner.
Mrs. Bridges was retired from Lake Barkley State Park, and was a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mosco Doris Bridges, in 1994; six brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Mosco Jr. and Diane Bridges, of Magnolia, Texas; and Joe and Judy Bridges, of Cadiz; one daughter, Rhonda Wells, of Cadiz; one sister, Mary Bridges, of Cadiz; five grandchildren, Gina Futrell, Cadiz, Tommie Bridges, Bowling Green, Jennifer Buergermeister, Texas, Joe Ed Bridges and Isaac Wells, both of Cadiz; four great-grandchildren, Chad Futrell, Amanda Futrell, Ashley Futrell, all of Cadiz, and Megan Bridges, Bowling Green; one great-great-grandchild, Ben Wadlington, Jr., Cadiz.
Serving as pallbearers were Jesse Sumner, Frankie Phillips, Gaylon Sumner, J.D. Bridges, Randy Bridges, and Donald Bridges.
Clarissa King, Pianist, provided music.
