John and Sarah settled on what was the Paul Gates farm (1961)a half mile west of Vly Summit on the North Easton road. The farm was possibly the Vly lot mentioned in his father's will.
On the 1820 Census, John is living in the farm next to his father's, Nathaniel Kenyon. On a farm nearby is Worthy Waters, his presumed father-in-law.
