Lloyd H. Stoutenger Sr., 87, of Phoenix, NY, passed away Monday, October 27, 2008. Born in Syracuse, he was a carpenter, beekeeper, honey producer, veteran of the Army Air Corps, member and past Commander of the American Legion Post 418 and social member VFW Post 5540. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, the former Elizabeth Towsley on October 8, 2004. Surviving are his children, Tom and (Kay), Sue and (Dick) Ungleich, Edward and (Linda), Liz and (Richard) Kobus, Lloyd H. Jr. and (Mary), Jerry and (Chris), Penny and (Dave) Finch; sisters, Grace, Mary Jane, and Barbara Jean; brother-in-law, Richard Martin and family; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services: 1:15 p.m. Thursday at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home. Burial: Chase Cemetery with military honors. Calling hours: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 431 Main St., Phoenix. Contributions to the family.
