Colin Edward Anson Vesterfelt, 43, died Monday, Aug 6, 1990, in Orem, of cancer.
He was born May 23, 1947, in Belleville, Ontario, Canada, a son of James Peter and Evelyn Elizabeth Anson Vesterfelt. He married Rondee Allene Holmes, Jan. 31, 1968, in Salt Lake City.
He received his early education in Sudbury, Ontario, Canadian schools. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in educational psychology and an M.B.A. degree, all through Brigham Young University. He also received an LPN degree from Salt Lake Community College. He had been employed by LDS Social Services as a counselor in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He then worked as a psychologist for the province of Alberta in Medicine Hat. He had also been employed as a guard and later as a nurse at the Utah State Prison. He also worked at Mountain View Hospital in Payson as a nurse.
He served in the Canadian Armed Service Reserve and was presently serving in the Utah National Guard.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, Orem, three sons and seven daughters, Kirste Lauren, Provo, Ian George Anson, Carly Alexandra, Devra E., Colin Christian, Candice Linnea, Jamie Edward, Kari Allene, Stephanie Liane, Joscelyne Danielle, all of Orem: father, Ontario, Canada.
Funeral will be Friday, 11 a.m. at the Windsor 6th Ward LDS Chapel; 1350 N 250 W., Orem. Friends may call at Berg Mortuary of Orem, 500 N State, Thursday 6-8 p.m. or at the church on Friday one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Orem City Cemetery.
