Walter C. (Butch) Ryan, III
AGE: 66 • Hillsborough
Walter C. (Butch) Ryan III, 66, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ. He was born in New Brunswick, NJ on May 26, 1945 to his dear parents Walter C. Ryan, Jr. and Rita June Thompson Ryan. Before moving to Hillsborough, he resided in Middlesex for over 30 years. Walter was employed by AT&T and was a member of the Communication Workers of America. He graduated from Middlesex High School and attended North Texas State University. Walter was a loving father; a dear brother; a wonderful uncle, who had a love for nature and the outdoors. He was a kind, caring, generous person, who had a keen sense of humor, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Walter is survived by his loving son, Sean Ryan of Washington, D.C.; two dear brothers, Robert (Linda) Ryan of Stuart, FL and Kevin Ryan of Manville; a loving sister, Kathleen (Richard) Motte of Mashpee, MA; and several wonderful nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Somerville Funeral Home, 10 West End Avenue, Somerville, NJ 08876, (908-725-2079). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the at www.cancer.org or Juvenile Diabetes Foundation at www.jdrf.org.
