Gregory Steven Cobb
EDMONDS, WA: Gregory Steven Cobb, 53, of Edmonds, WA, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, WA.
He was born September 14, 1955 in Fremont, OH to Alvin E. Cobb, Sr. and Everlean Cobb. Greg was a 1973 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He worked at Whirlpool in Clyde, OH for 20 years. He owned and operated GSC Sound Company. He did many weddings and other social events. He co-owned Cobb's Cuisine Barbecue with his father. They were well known for their barbecue ribs and chicken.
While in Fremont he attended Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. After his career at Whirlpool, he worked in the fishing industry out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
Greg is survived by his brother, Alvin E. Cobb, Jr., Defiance, OH; sister, Deborah Walker, Fremont, OH; aunts, Denise Trammel, Washington, D.C., Lillie Mae Worthy, Waycross, GA; nieces, Crystal Walker, Dia Carter, Regina Cobb; nephews, Damon Walker; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Greg will be missed by his family, friends and the many people he touched in his lifetime.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Neptune Society in Seattle, WA. No memorial is planned locally.
Thanks to all for their prayers and acts of kindness during his illness.
Cremated, Ashes given to family or friend.
