LA PINE — A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Central Presbyterian Church in Eugene for Marva Hutchison Brown of La Pine, who died April 22 of age-related causes. She was 89. A burial service will happen later in Portland.
She was born March 21, 1921, in Pilot Rock to Wesley and Lois Jordan Hutchison. She married Donald Brown on June 15, 1947, in Eugene.
She graduated from Pilot Rock High School. She received her teacher certification from Eastern Oregon College of Education and a bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon. She was a public school teacher for 33 years in Oregon.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Barry of Springfield and Rob of Junction City; a daughter, Sue Henneck of Albany; a brother, Keith Hutchison of Poulsbo, Wash.; a sister, Nadine Harrang of Eugene; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Baird Funeral Homes in Bend. Remembrances to Bethel Education Foundation.
