John T. "J.T." Huddleston, 59, Independence, died July 6, 1998, at the Medical Center of Independence. Mr. Huddleston was born Jan. 20, 1939 in West Plains, MO.
He was a truck driver for Quality Sand and Material for 32 years, retiring in 1993.
He had been a member of the Liberty Church of the Nazarene for more than 25 years, and was a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school secretary and served on the church board.
His survivors include his wife, Rosetta L. Huddleston of the home; a son, John Huddleston, Kansas City; a daughter, Shellie Huddleston, Springdale, AR; one brother, James Huddleston, Indepencence; one sister, Susan Pettker, St. Charles, MO; one granddaughter, Ashlee Huddleston, and a godchild, Chelsie Nicole Huddleston.
Services are Thursday at the Fry Funeral Home, Kearney. Burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kearney.

RELATIONSHIP: His great-grandparents James Henry Huddleston and Effie Savannah (Heard) Huddleston, are my great-grandparents.
