Noah James Southard, 88, died Thursday at his home, 301 North Eleventh avenue. He had been a resident of Colorado since 1896 and was a retired farmer. He was born June 22, 1867 at Buffalo, Mo., and was a member of the Baptist church in Missouri.
Surviving are the following children, Clarnece of Union, Ore., Charlie of Kimball, Neb., Mrs Lilly Horn of Elgin, Ore., and Erving Southard of Denver; a sister Mrs Lizzie Huffman of Bell, Calif.; an aunt Mrs Bell Mashburn of Arlington, Calif.; 44 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
His wife, Mrs Elnora Short Southard, whom he married Aug. 14, 1887, preceded him in death as did three sons, Melvin, Henry and Roy Southard
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday afternoon from Macys drawing room, with interment at Linn Grave.
