Arlene Evelyn Correa, a resident of Echo, died at her home on Big Buttercreek on Thursday, Aug 19 2004, at the age of 86.
She was born on Nov.12, 1917 in Medford, to parents, Edward and Leone (Southward) Nunn. She was raised and attended schools in Hermiston and later in Echo. Arlene ws united in marriage to John B. Correa on Sept. 16, 1936 in Echo. They ranched near Echo and Starkey. She was a member of the Starkey Cattle and Horse Association. She enjoyed farming, ranching with her husbnd, canning, yellow roses, and loved spending time with her family. Arlene was a member of the Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sons, John E. Correa of Buttercreek, Bob Correa and Bill Lozier of Pendleton, Ore.; daughters, Peggy Correa Hays of Echo, and Betty Correa Thompson of Union, Ore.; sister, Naomi Myers of Union, Ore.; 18 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, John B Correa in 1998; son, Bill in 2004; and sister, Ruth Hall in 1991.
Recitation of the Rosary was held on Monday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tues, Aug 24 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston. Burial will follow at the Echo Cemetery in Echo, Or.
