Lena Smith Kennedy, age 38, wife of
William L. Kennedy, died at her home in Laurens County at 4 o'clock on August 2nd, 1935.
In additon to her husband, she is survived by four sons, James William Kennedy, Berry Belton Kennedy, Roscoe Wallace Kennedy, and Vascoe Smith Kennnedy, and one daughter, Eliza Beatrice Kennedy.
She was predeceased by her mother, Eliza Hezekiah King Smith, a son, Lawrence Albert Kennedy, and a daughter, Ruby Mae Kennedy.
Also surviving are her father, James Frankllin Smith, a sister, Mrs. Dennis Lanford, and a brother, Lawrence A. Smith.
Services were held at Bethel Church on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, by the Rev. C.L. Boyter, with burial in Old Bethel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were William, Thomas, and Ford Kennedy, Charlie Smith, J.T. Sutton, and James Bragg.
