Edward Coxe, the eighteen-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. B. Coxe, of Orenco, Oregon, died at the Good Samaritan Hospital, August 31, 1923, after an operation for a ruptured appendix.
He was born at Payette, Idaho, July 4, 1905, and a few years ago moved to Hillsboro with his parents for residence. Later they moved to Orenco, where the father has been conducting a hotel.
The young man had been operating a small printing plant at Orenco, and was preparing to study for the Baptist ministry.
The young man graduated from the Hillsboro High School with the 1923 class, and was a general favorite with his classmates.
The funeral took place Sunday from the Baptist church, Rev. R. G. Kay officiating, and interment was in the Odd Fellows' Cemetery, Glenn F. Bell officiating.
