Harold J. Crandall, 78, of Centralia-Stockton Road, died early Sunday morning (Nov. 9, 1975) in the WCA Hospital, Jamestown,Mr. Crandall was born Sept. 29, 1896 in Ellery, the son of Gardner and Clara Snooks Crandall.Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Florence Foster of Centralia; two sons, Howard H. Crandall of Sinclairville, and Roland L. Crandall of Springfield, Ve.; seven grandchildrenseven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Penhollow of Kennedy, Mrs. Isabel Evans of Celoron; seven brothers, Eben Crandall, Centralia, George Crandall, Bemus Point, Theodore Crandall of Busti, Kermit Crandall and Herman Crandall of Jamestown, Marion Crandall of Erie, Pa., and Wilmer Crandall of Sheffield Lake, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Velna L. Crandall on June 6, 1971; a daughter, Mrs. Esto Buche on Feb. 20, 1960; three sisters, Mrs. Leah Robinson in 1964, Mrs. Hazel Soderquist in 1973, and Mrs. Edna C. Brevoort in 1974; and two brothers, Simon and Niel Crandall.

According to cemetery records the cause of death was terminal passive congestion at 79 years old.
