Glasco Sun, Jan. 10, 1918, page 1:
Ann Zenia Overfield was born December 31, 1833 in Centerville, Michigan, where she resided with her parents until her marriage in 1855 to Mr. Jacob Evert, who preceded her in death about 16 years. To this union was born eight children, five of whom survive her: Will, who lives in Texas; Almond, in Minnesota; John, near Simpson; Mrs. Chas. Robbins and Mrs. Mary Robbins of Glasco. Frank died twelve years ago, and two children, Blanche and Georgie, died in infancy.
She with her family came to Kansas in 1887 and settled three miles south of Simpson, where (they) resided until about 10 years ago when she moved to Glasco. She was a faithful and steadfast Christian, having united with the Methodist Church at the age of 16 and has been a consistent worker ever since.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. James Taylor and interment was made in the Glasco Cemetery.
