Born as Victor Quentin Nelson and renamed Victor Marchessault when his mother Anna Nelson married Louis Marchessault after the death of his father George Nelson on July 3, 1890 in the Sea Wing ferry boat disaster on Lake Pepin. Victor married Geralda Plouffe in 1913 and adopted a baby girl Eunice in 1920. Victor was an electrician and could fix anything. He and Geralda separated and Victor fell on hard times while living in downtown Minneapolis. The photo is from their wedding day. When Victor died his brother George buried him in Duluth MN where he and his wife lived. In 1998 Victor's adopted daughter Eunice Marchessault Kirsten had the grave stone made for him.
