Edward Edwin Dodds
Birth: 1845
Death: Jan. 12, 1901

Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. A native of Canada, Dodds entered the service in Rochester, New York, and served as a Sergeant in Company C of the 21st New York Calvary. Dodds was awarded his medal on June 11, 1896, for service at Ashbys Gap, Virginia, on July 19, 1864, during the Civil War. Dodds citation reads-At great personal risk rescued his wounded captain and carried him from the field to a place of safety.  (bio by: K)
