Texas, USA
Death: Apr. 25, 2003, Afghanistan

Air Force Airman 1st Class Losano was a tactical air command and control specialist assigned to the 14th Air Support Operation Squadron, Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. He died on of wounds received while on patrol after snipers ambushed his unit. Raymond grew up in Del Rio, Texas, and attended high school in Tucson. After earning his GED, he worked about two years with the elderly because he had a real knack for helping them out and making them feel special. He also volunteered with youth groups and for neighborhood cleanup efforts. Raymond received an award from the FBI and the League of United Latin American Citizens for his community service. In November 2001, he joined the Air Force and was deployed to Afghanistan about a month ago. He was awarded a Bronze Star for valor and a Purple Heart posthumously. Raymond's quick action in calling in air support helped his men repel their attackers. He was mortally wounded defending his team.
