Wayne L. Ingersoll (1920-2006)
Waverly - Wayne L. Ingersoll, 85, of Gilbert, Ariz. formerly of Waverly, died Thursday, Jan 19, at his home from complications of Parkinson's disease.
He was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Waverly, son of Fred and Lydia Seamon Ingersoll. On Feb. 16, 1941, he married Burnett Stoffregen in the Methodist Parsonage in Waverly.
Mr. Ingersoll started the business of Ingersoll Transfer in 1946, which he operated with his wife until 1982.
Survived by: his wife; a son Steven (Tammy) of Waverly; two daughters, Rebecca (Chuck) Pritchard of Gilbert and Cheryl (Dick) Ingersoll Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; two step grandsons; two great granddaughters; two step great-granddaughters; two brothers, Wilbur ( Wlizabeth) of Plainfield, Wis., and Neil (Darlene) of Fayette; and a sister, Arlene Kammeyer of Waverly.
Preceded in death by: a brother, Everett; and a brother-in-law, Albert Kammeyer.
Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with burial in Harlington Cemetery, both in Waverly. Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, and for an hout before services Wednesday at the church.
