Eziekel's parents were David and Catherine Klinedinst Burkholder. He married Elizabeth Ellen Rice from Platteville, WI on November 3, 1872. They had seven children, Elizabeth, Edward, Alice, Myrtle, Willard, Charles and Edith. He served in Company C, 7th. Regiment from WI. during the Civil War.
