She was born Sept. 17, 1915, in
Carbondale,the daughter of Arthur C.
and Clara Weil Waetzig. She was
graduated from Carbondale High School
and attended the University of
Kansas in Lawrence.
Mrs. Batz was a member of First
Congregational Church and Shawnee
Country Club.
She was married to George W. Batz
Sept. 5, 1940, in Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors include a brother, Francis
Waetzig, Topeka.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at
Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be
in Mount Hope Cemetery. Relatives and
friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. today
at the Funeral Home.
