She & her family moved from Des Moines to Charles City in 1963 when her father assumed the pastorship of the First Congregational Church.
She is survived by her parents, The Reverend & Mrs. Leslie W. Chapman & one sister, Mrs. Peter (Ruth) Connel, Cheshire Connecticut.
Cause of death: Accidental carbon monoxide poisoning.

Alice Chapman
Charles City - Funeral services for Alice Chapman, 17, were held Monday at the First Congregational Church here. Hauser Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements. Burial will be in High Plains Cemetery in Oakdale, Mass.
Miss Chapman, the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. L. W. Chapman, was found dead early Friday in a car parked near the east edge of Charles City. With her was Leander A. Schwickerath, 17, son of Mrs. & Mrs. Norbert Schwickerath. He was taken to the Charles City hospital where he was reported to be suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning. He was released from the hospital Sunday.
Medican Examiner Dr. E. J. Goen said carbon monoxide poisoning cause the death of Miss. Chapman.
