Robert Warren Deason was born Feb 2, 1922, the son of Walter and Maude Parman Deason at Siloam Springs, MO. Bob graduated from Albany High School in 1940. He enlisted in the US Air Force and served as a bombardier in WW II. He completed his college degree in Agriculture from the University of Missouri in 1948. He met Maxine Traynor of Sioux City in college and they married in June 5, 1946.
Bob began his career as a fieldman for Farm Bureau in Ida Grove, IA. The Deasons lived in Sioux City and in Aurelia during the 30 years Bob was a cattle buyer for Armour, Needham Pack, Spencer Pack, and Land O'Lakes. Since 1985 Bob and Maxine have spent winters in Tempe, AZ. He was a member of the First United Methodist church and had enjoyed planting flowers there for 25 years. Bob also enjoyed playing Bridge, shooting pool and he loved the Midwest and the good Iowa farmland.
Robert died Sunday March 18, 2001 at his home in Aurelia following a lengthy illness. Preceding Bob in death were his parents, one sister, Mary Deason, and 6 brothers, Morris, Thomas, Louis, Frank, Kerlin, and Russell.
Survivors include his wife Maxine of Aurelia, 3 sons; John, Dwight, and Dennis; one daughter Win Ann Dell'Ario, one grandson Jay Grimes, and one great grandson, Caleb Robert Grimes. Also surviving are three sisters, Margaret Johnson, Louise Gates, and Grace Knight; 3 sisters in law, Lois Deason, Norma Ruth Deason, and Nellie Deason and nieces, nephews, and friends.
