Stacy Renee Cowell, was born on Sunday, February 1, 1987 in Nashville, Tennessee to her Parents; Steve and Amy Cowell.
Stacy was an only child and was born with the rare hereditary disease Cystic Fibrosis. While having the rare disease Stacy did not let it stop her from living her life as normal as possible. She had many family members and many friends who supported her everyday.
She was a 2005 High School Graduate from Nashville Christian School, where she attend all 12 years. Since graduating High School, Stacy had attended College at Belmont University, and she majored in Exercise Science and Health. Sadly, Stacy did not live to Graduate College, as she would have Graduated in 2009.
Stacy was a very good person, she was always smiling, and would worry about other people before herself. Stacy, was a very strong Christian and always attended Church.
She loved helping people, tanning, shopping, the color pink, and dancing. She hated liars, snakes, and spiders. Country, and Christian music were her favorite types of music. Her favorite movies were; Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Dukes Of Hazard, and How To Lose A Guy In ten Days.
The last few months of her life, Stacy had struggled more than usual and had started having seizures and she had also been put on more medication. The month of February had been very tough, as she had been in Vanderbilt University Medical Center twice. But while in the Hospital Stacy was always happy and always kept her faith. Surprising, the month of May had been great and Stacy spent almost the whole month in Virginia with her boyfriend.
On June 7, 2006, Stacy was admitted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center because she had really began to suffer with her breathing, and she was also feeling very weak. Even though she was very sick at the time, Stacy still talked and laughed with her family and friends.
Stacy, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2006 at the young age of 19 years old from her lifelong disease of Cystic Fibrosis.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Preston Cowell.
She is survived by her parents, Steve and Amy Cowell; grandparents, Barbara Gupton Cowell, J. W. and Opal Pollack; aunts and uncles, Bobby (Gloria) Cowell, Beverly (Bobby) Land, Tim Pollock, Marilyn (Stacy) Rawls; God Parents, Eddie Paul and Debbie Phillips; Sister Libby (Brian) Spears; Cousins, Chantelle (Bill), Bart, Mallory, Kara, Emily, Alissa, Dalton, Mayci, Robby and Melisa; Special Friend Jessica Roadcap; her extended Nashville Christian Family and all her special friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. William Long, the Pulmonary Drs. and staff at Vanderbilt, and the loving nurses and care partners at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
A Celebration Of Life Service was held in honor of Stacy on Monday, July 3, 2006 at the Western Hills Church of Christ in Nashville, TN. Following the service she was buried at the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, in the Garden of Gethsemane. Arrangements were in the care of the West Harpeth Funeral Home.
Family and close friends strongly believe that in life and death Stacy touched many peoples life's.
Stacy Renne Cowell, will always be loved and missed very much by her family and her many friends.
