George S. Barga, 71 of St. Rt. 199, Wayne, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at Wood County Hospital. He was born in Frenchtown, Ohio on March 2, 1932 to Alva and Ellen (Bulcher) Barga. He married Verda Hurley in 1953 and she preceded him in death in 1987. Mr. Barga married Janet Waggoner Lundy in 1999 and she survives. Also surviving are a son; Bruce Barga of Cincinnati, daughter; Colleen Warren of Delta, Ohio, Step-sons; Mark and Todd Lundy of Tiffin, Ohio, Step-daughter; Pam Comer of Tiffin, Ohio. Also surviving are brothers; Richard of Union City, Ohio and Robert of Greenville, Ohio, four sisters; Rose Pursley of Greenville, Mary Newman and Betty Wray of Winchester, Indiana and Alice Guggenbiller of Fort Recovery, Ohio. There are four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Mr. Barga was preceded by one son; Terry, six brothers and one sister. George was a self-employed truck driver and retired after working for Cheeseman Trucking in Fort Recovery, Ohio. He was a member, trustee and substitute Sunday school teacher at Trinity United Methodist Church in B.G. He also was a Marine veteran of Korea, member of VFW Post #6515, American Legion Post #0345 both in Fort Recovery, Ohio, the National Rifle Association, the Wood County Umpires Association, the 1st Marine Division Association, Cincinnati Chapter and the Fort Recovery Masonic Lodge. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at Eleven o'clock am in the DUNN FUNERAL HOME, which is located in the heart of Bowling Green's historical district at 408 W. Wooster St. (2 � blocks West of downtown) Rev. Larry Swaisgood will officiate. Interment is in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8pm. Those wishing to given an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the church.
