Birth: May 11, 1976
Death: Apr. 30, 2003

Unsolved Murder Victim.

Tamara was born in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up on Detroit's east side, graduating from Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School in 1994. She was employed as an exotic dancer who went by the name "Strawberry" and who claimed to have performed at the Manoogian Mansion party on New Year's Eve of 2002. There was an alleged assault on Tamara at the party by the mayor's wife, which Detroit's mayor, Kwame Kilpatric, has denied, claiming the party never happened. An initial attempt on Tamara's life was made but failed. However, at around 3:40 a.m. on April 30, 2003, she was sitting in her car with her boyfriend when a shooter in a white Chevrolet TrailBlazer shot at them both, then turned around and came back specifically shooting only at Tamara. She was shot a total of 18 times and killed. Her boyfriend was wounded and later recovered from his injuries. Family and friends remember her as a beautiful, sweet woman. She was close with family members, including a brother who is a brain surgeon, and a 61-year-old great-aunt. She is survived by her children, Jonathan Bond, Ashly and India; her grandmother, her brother, her aunt and other relatives. Her murder remains unsolved, and the case has gone cold.

Her case has been reopened and an investigation is currently in effect, along with lawsuits filed.
